Experiment: Dust Cloud

An interactive particle system created in TouchDesigner.

I think it’s rite of passage, when learning TouchDesigner, to eventually make a wooshy-swooshy particle system like this one. Even so, it feels good to finally make mine.

In this system, particles are manipulated via keystroke. Each time a key is hit, the particles change position and a random quantity of turbulence — that is, wooshy-swooshieness — flings them around, creating the visuals you see above.

Funny enough, shortly after exporting these videos, I tried to tweak this further and totally ruined it. My rite of passage was brief and fleeting.
